High potential to erodibility of marl formations in watershed basins of Iran cause many problems including loss of soil quality in agricultural and pasture lands and forests, increasing the risk of landslides and mass movements, reducing the quality of ground and surface water, sediment load increases entered into the reservoirs, desertification areas due to intensive erosion and watershed management plan failure due to inadequate knowledge of the susceptibility to erosion the formations. The study area, Gatchab and Siahkooh Mountains situated in the northwest of central playa of Iran (Kavir plain). It is located in southwest of the Semnan city with 74 km distance. The widespread of the geological unit in the area is upper red formation with three members M1, M2 and M3. With respect to sedimentology finding on textures of Neogene sediments, they are sandy silt, silt, sandy mud and mud particles. The examination of distribution of various particle size of the sediments have shown that these sediments deposited in shallow water and lagoonal environments with changing of the depth, that changed to high dynamic environments condition of  channel rivers. The results of analyses have shown that the percent abundance of lime in these sediments change from 24.28% to 34.98%. Because of the low contents of lime compound and clay particles, it is better to called them salty and gypsiferous siltstone and mudstone instead the marl term for these sediments.}, keywords = {marl,Mudstone,Particle size distribution,Sampling,Sheet erosion}, title_fa = {بررسی ویژگی‌های رسوب‌شناسی نهشته‌های نئوژن منطقه ‏سیاه‌کوه و گچ‌آب}, abstract_fa = {سازندهای مارنی سطح وسیعی از کشور ایران را دربرگرفته است . فرسایش‌پذیری بالای این سازندها در سطح حوزه‌های آبخیز کشور مسائل و مشکلات زیادی از جمله کاهش کیفیت خاک در اراضی کشاورزی و مرتعی و جنگلی، افزایش ریسک حرکات توده‌ای و لغزش، کاهش کیفیت منابع آب سطحی و زیرزمینی، افزایش میزان بار رسوبی وارد‌ شده به مخازن سدهای کشور، بیابانی شدن مناطق تحت فرسایش‌های تشدیدشونده و شکست طرح‌های آبخیزداری اجراشده بدلیل شناخت ناکافی از میزان حساسیت سازندها به فرسایش را در بر می‌گیرد.ناحیه مورد مطالعه، کوه گچ‌آب و سیاه‌کوه، در بخش شمال‌غرب دشت کویر، در ۷۴ کیلومتری جنوب غربی سمنان واقع شده است.در این منطقه، نهشته‌های ریز‌دانه نئوژن سازند قرمز بالایی، برونزد دارند. در این پژوهش ویژگی‌های رسوب‌شناسی هر یک از واحد‌های سازند قرمز بالایی مورد بررسی قرار گرفت. اشکال فرسایش موجود در منطقه شامل فرسایش سطحی، شیاری، خندقی، آبراهه‌ای و تونلی می‌باشند که از مارن‌های دارای این اشکال فرسایش، نمونه‌برداری شد. آزمایش‌های انجام‌گرفته بر روی نهشته‌های نئوژن شامل دانه‌بندی، هیدرومتری و کربنات‌سنجی می‌باشد. با توجه به بررسی‌های رسوب‌شناسی و سنگ‌شناسی رسوبی، بافت رسوبات سازند قرمز بالایی کوه گچ‌آب از نوع سیلت ماسه‌ای، سیلت، گل ماسه‌ای و گل است. بررسی توزیع اندازه ذرات نمونه‌های رسوبی بیانگر این موضوع است که نهشته‌های نئوژن در شرایط محیط کم عمق و کولابی با تغییرات عمق (با توجه به ارتباط میان میزان آهک و عمق رسوب‌گذاری) مشخص، نهشته شده‌اند که این شرایط محیطی به محیط پر انرژی کانال رودخانه‌ای نیز تغییر فاسیس ‌داده‌اند. نتایج آزمایش کلسی‌متری نشان ‌داد که این رسوبات حاوی 24/28 تا 34/98 درصد آهک هستند. به‌علت پایین بودن درصد آهک از یک‌سو و میزان رس از سوی دیگر در رسوبات سازند قرمز بالایی کوه گچ‌آب و سیاه‌کوه، به‌کار بردن اصطلاح مارن برای این رسوبات از لحاظ تقسیم‌بندی رسوب‌شناسی درست نمی‌باشد و بهتر است به آن‌ها سیلت‌‌های گچی-نمکی یا مادستون‌های گچی-نمکی اطلاق شود.}, keywords_fa = {دانه‌بندی,فرسایش سطحی,مادستون,مارن,نمونه‌برداری}, url = {https://jwem.areeo.ac.ir/article_101744.html}, eprint = {https://jwem.areeo.ac.ir/article_101744_0c8ea9bc5ddafc19ef61f85e6f3f72a1.pdf} }
